While on an architectural tour during college, the Mill Owner’s Association building in Ahmedabad designed by Le Corbusier was on the list. It was a forlorn-looking building set away from the entry to the area. What took me by surprise was that I felt a sobering effect of sorts. I pulled myself away from my ebullient classmates and wandered about in quiet reflection, thinking over what had caught my fancy without my conscious wishing.
